TRANSCRIPT:
Hey Simon what do you think?
Extreme weather is getting worse and more and more common, and more and more people are suffering because of it, and yet our governments are continuing to pursue economic policies based on burning more and more and more fossil fuels in order to grow the economy more and more and more and….well…honestly it’s so that a few really rich people can get even richer….in my opinion.
So…what do we do? I was watching the video about blocking the roads in England, and thinking “could we do that in Okinawa? Would someone want to do that in Japan?” and I think “No, that’s really not going to work”, in Japan we are much more likely to inconvenience ourselves not other people, with things like a hunger strike, in order to make a political point.
Let’s hope that kind of thing doesn’t become necessary in Japan, let’s keep pushing the government to actually take action so that we don’t have to do that kind of thing….
Thanks for letting me vent♥
