動画のセリフ Video transcript:

The richest 1% are responsible for double the carbon emissions of the poorest 50%.

This is extreme carbon inequality – and it’s driving us towards climate catastrophe.

Between 1990 and 2015, the amount of carbon in the atmosphere doubled, and the richest have a much bigger responsibility for this growth.

People in the top 1% have higher emissions due to things like flying more, and buying bigger cars.

Meanwhile, people living in poverty are experiencing the worst climate impacts, and young people are inheriting an increasingly unsafe planet.

Now, COVID-19 recovery plans must address both the climate and inequality crises.

Together, we can fight extreme carbon inequality for a safer and fairer world.

Hey Simon what do you think? 私に一コメントいわせていただければ・・・

  1. Rich people live luxury lives and poor people suffer and die – this seems pretty grotesque
  2. As relatively rich people, we are going to need to change our lifestyles. However, since we are not the super-rich, changes we individually make aren’t going to make much difference….

Hey Listeners what do you think? どうぞ自分の”一コメント”をメールで読ませてください・・・
